I LOVE this automatic feeder! It was easy to setup and I love having the ability to feed my cats from my phone. I set it up so that the kibbles spill onto my cats puzzle instead of into the included bowl. This way both of my cats have time to get to it and can't scarf down the kibbles. I had previously been using a manual timer for my cats' 5am feeding that I would have to reset each night. This is much easier because I can just set it and forget it until I eventually need to add more kibbles to the filler. I feed my cats wet food for their main meals but it is nice having peace of mind that if I am ever out and late for their feeding times or caught up in something I can easily press the button and they will be able to eat.
I enjoy the convenience of being able to feed my cats with just a few taps on my phone. The app seems pretty legit other than not being able to figure out how to dispense portion sizes. Also, the option to record a message for your pet is nice, too!I would have given the PETLIBRO Automatic Cat Feeder 5 Stars had the directions been better. I still can't figure out portion size which is a problem...All-in-all a great product and my cats adjusted to it instantly. I would buy it again and highly recommend it.
I have a 20lb, very food motivated man and so far (fingers crossed) he has not been able to penetrate the feeder. He has hit the feed button once (but you can lock the button by holding it for 6 second or until the red light comes on). He also pull the metal liner out but not a huge deal since the plastic bowl stays in place.I will say the app is not intuitive. I also would have liked a video on set up but couldn't find one online. Make sure you’re not just connected to 2.4g BUT ALSO connected to Bluetooth. I spent way too long trying to connect it not realizing my Bluetooth wasn't turned on (my bad).ALSOTo schedule feeding times you can hit every day of the week, I originally was trying to select each individual day and then ran out of feeding slots which I was frustrated with until I figured out how to schedule daily times. So far I'm happy with this product I love the customization of portion sizes and how often you can schedule feeding times. I'm hoping to get my chunky boy more used to free feeding by feeding him just a little bit multiple times through out the day.Worth the initial frustration with the app!
We used to have problems with our cat over eating, and vomiting, so we bought the prior version. It has worked very well, is reliable, and solved that problem. I like that it plugs in for long term power, but also has battery back up. The voice recording feature has trained our cat to know when the food is coming, and is a nice customization.Recently, when we needed a second unit for our vacation home, I was planning to buy the same one again. But I was happy to notice this model that has smart phone/app integration. I definitely think that the upgrade is worth it. If I had any criticism of the original unit, is that the programming was a bit annoying. In the other model we have, you have to use a small LCD screen and a few buttons to cycle through the controls, like a old timex watch. I like having the set up on phone, and also being able to give extra feedings from my phone. The company did offer 20$ gift card to write a review, but the above is my honest opinion and recommendation
One of the best purchases of the year for me. Because of my job sometimes I'm on the road and now I'm happy knowing that my cat's food time won't be missed.Pros:Easy to cleanCool and beautiful designCompact so it fits on every cornerWorks great on batteries (even if there's no wifi the scheduled time won't be missed)Easy to install and set upCons:Food portions sometimes are a little less (not a deal breaker)If your cat is very curious you should secure the lid since it can be knocked and spilledGreat idea and excellent results. Very impressed with this product.
I love it!! app is pretty easy to use if youre good with that stuff. even if you dont wanna use the app you can just push the button and it feeds them in just one second lol. and it holds a good amount of food. definitely happy with my purchase!
I am (and more importantly my fat cat Finn) are enjoying the WiFi auto feeder. I have used it for 2 days and it is already improving feeding time anger and a the amount of bugging my cat expresses. Feeds in a timely manner and is easy to set up. Super helpful to give multiple small meals throughout the day, even if I am at work.
It's been one day and so far I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of the WIFI model. For $90 I was apprehensive. The packaging was top notch. Always a good sign to see that care and thought went into all the design aspects of the unit. Though I can't speak on the longevity yet, I'm not much worried because the materials seem durable. What actually Impressed me the most was how durable the bowl is. Setup took less than 5 minutes. The inside literature came with a pocketed folder containing 2 stickers showing off the PetLibro logo, a $20 Amazon gift card (if you email support your order #) and ways to get an additional 6 months on top of the 12 month warranty! Huge plus for nice literature. As well as a quick start guide with the QR code to download the app to program the unit. Which is extremely easy btw! What would make this product even more useful would be if they included a guide on how many feedings a cat should receive. I know 1 feeding is equal to 2.5 teaspoons but before this I would leave food out 24/7 for Taurus. I don't know what to set it on exactly. So I decided to put Taurus on 5 feedings a day to start and will tweak it from there.
I have two boy cats that both needed to go on a diet, but I found feeding them as usual (2x a day) was making them rush their eating when I’d feed them. I wanted smaller, more frequent feedings to help with this, so I looked into an automatic feeder. I’m so glad I found the Petlibro as it is EXACTLY what I was looking for, and the boys took to it immediately! I have no issues with it at all, the only improvement I would make is if it would notify me through the app that a feeding failed due to being out of food. One morning I woke up and realized they hadn’t been fed the night before because it was out of food. I’m not sure if I missed a setting in the app, or if it’s not a feature. Either way, it’s easy enough for me to just check the food level once a week.
We keep it on our covered patio so we can feed our outdoor cats even when we have to be out of town. Working perfectly for us, app is simple to use and it is feeding our slightly irregular sized dry purina cat chow complete just fine.
