How risky is Petlibro's AI?
Any use of AI carries some risk. While we use AI to detect your pets and offer you insight about them, just be aware that the following may occur:
False alarms and missed events: AI performance may be affected by environmental complexity (things like reflective surfaces and other things within your home), resulting in occasional detection errors.
Mistakes in AI-generated behavior cards: As with any use of AI, ours is not 100% accurate all the time. This may result in inaccuracies or what are commonly called “hallucinations.”
Pet detection error: The pet detection feature is intended for common household pets (cats and dogs), but it may also detect and misidentify animals of similar size or shape.
Mistaken live detection: The system does not distinguish between live animals and similarly shaped objects (like toys, paintings or knickknacks). Complex backgrounds can affect accuracy.
Detection inaccuracies: Pets being too close or too far from the camera, rapid movement, objects obstructing the lens, or unusual activity may reduce detection accuracy.
Infrared Night Vision: When the infrared night vision is active, detection and accuracy may be reduced due to lower image clarity.
