How to Fix a Feeder That Is Not Dispensing Food

Follow these steps if the feeder runs, but no food comes out, the rotor turns without dispensing, or no food is dispensed during first use.

Step 1. Check the kibble

Make sure the kibble is dry and between 2 and 18 mm in size.

Step 2. Check the food tank and dispensing chute

Reduce the food level to about two-thirds full or less. Remove food dust or kibble blocking the dispensing chute.

Step 3. Check the stirring paddle

Make sure the stirring paddle is installed securely and can move normally.

Step 4. Prime and test the feeder

Run one manual feeding to fill the empty rotor compartments, then run two more manual feedings. Allow each cycle to finish before starting the next.
