How to fix frequent food jams?

Follow these steps if the feeder frequently reports a food jam or stops dispensing food during scheduled or manual feedings.
Step 1. Check the kibble type
Use dry kibble that is 2–18 mm in diameter. Avoid unusually large, triangular, crescent-shaped, or irregularly shaped kibble, as these may increase the chance of jamming.
Step 2. Reduce the food level
If the hopper is completely full, remove some kibble until it is about half to two-thirds full.
Step 3. Clean the dispensing system
Remove any food dust, broken kibble, or debris from the stirring paddle and dispensing chute.
Step 4. Test the feeder
Run three manual feedings and check whether food is dispensed smoothly.

Tips:
  • Clean the feeder regularly to reduce food dust buildup.
  • Store kibble in a dry environment to prevent clumping.
