How to Fix Low or Slow Food Dispensing

Follow these steps if each feeding dispenses only a small amount, takes much longer than usual, or produces only a few pieces of kibble.

Step 1. Check the kibble

Make sure the kibble is dry and between 2 and 18 mm in size.

Step 2. Reduce the food level and clean the chute

Keep the food tank about two-thirds full or less and remove food dust from the rotor and dispensing chute.

Step 3. Check the stirring paddle

Make sure the stirring paddle is installed securely.

Step 4. Run three identical tests

Run three manual feedings using the same portion setting. A normal single dispensing cycle is about 3-4 seconds. The gram weight may vary because portions are measured by volume.
