What should I do if I encounter a "Counting Sensor Error" with the Granary Smart Feeder?

The "Counting Sensor Error" in the app usually indicates that the rotor may be stuck or there could be an issue with the rotor itself. To address this, please follow the steps below carefully:

1. Reset and Reconnect: Factory reset the feeder and reconnect it to your WiFi network.

2. Check Kibble Size: Ensure you are using dry kibble with sizes ranging from 2-15 mm (0.08-0.6 in).

3. Clean the Feeder: Empty the food tank and clean out any stuck food, especially around the food outlet.

4. Indicator Light: Check if the error indicator on the automatic feeder lights up.

5. Inspect the Rotor: Remove the tank base and inspect the silicone rotor for any signs of deformation or blockage. Ensure that the rotor is not stuck and can rotate freely.

6. Manual Feeding Test: Without installing the food tank, manually dispense 3/12 cups of food via the app. Use a small stick or another hard object to gently insert into the rotor area and check if the rotor rotates normally or reverses when it encounters the object.
