Why does my Granary Smart Feeder frequently go offline or disconnect from the app?
If your feeder frequently goes offline, please try the following steps:
1. Power Supply Check: Check the power cable, adapter, and outlet to confirm whether the power supply to the feeder is stable.
2. Reset the Router: Reset your router and place it within 15 feet of the feeder. Ensure there are no obstacles like walls or distance between them; try moving the feeder closer to check connectivity. Check if the firewall on your Wi-Fi or router is preventing the feeder from connecting.
3. Confirm the WiFi Bands: Check whether there are both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands on your home network are preventing the feeder from connecting stably. If yes, assign different names (SSIDs) for each band. This helps the feeder distinguish between the two bands and connect to a specific band, preventing inference from another band.
4. Factory Reset the feeder and re-add it to the app connecting to a separate WiFi band network to ensure a stable WiFi connection.
