A: No, Luma must be placed on a hard, level surface with at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space around it to ensure the accuracy ofits weight sensor in detecting your pet's weight. Placing it on a carpet may cause inaccurate weight readings and reduce the effectiveness of its triple-safety check system.
Q: How will my cat adjust to the automatic litter box?
A: Most cats are naturally curious. For first-time users, place Luma next to your cat's current litter box and use treats or toys to encourage exploration. Use their usual litter and add a small amount of used litter for familiarity. For the first few days, turn off automatic cleaning and set the fan to low to create a calm, comfortable environment.
Q: How often do I need to empty Luma's waste drawer?
A: Luma's 11-liter waste drawer can hold up to 7 days of waste for 2 cats, making it perfect for short trips or busy weeks.
Q: Does I need to use a specific type of cat litter with Luma?
A: Luma works with most clumping cat litters and includes two litter filters. Use the round-holed filter for small-grained clumping litter, and the long-pellet filter for tofu or mixed litters. Luma is not compatible with non-clumping litters, such as pine or crystal litters, or with very fine particles, such as grass seed or cassava litter.
Q: How does Luma keep odors under control?
A: A built-in fan circulates air through an activated carbon deodorizer, trapping odors so the air around your Luma stays fresh and clean. You can choose from 2 fan speeds in the app.
Q: How can I reduce litter tracking when my cat exits Luma?
A: We recommend using a litter-trapping mat with Luma to catch scattered litter and make cleanup easier. We’ve designed a mat specifically for Luma.

Shipping Policy

1. Standard Shipping:
We offer free shipping for Luma to the contiguous United States. Due to the higher cost of shipping to New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Maine, there is a $20 fee for deliveries to these states. At this time, we can’t ship Luma to Alaska, Hawaii, or US overseas territories.
