    Soak the filter in a clean bowl for 5 mins and rinse for 30 secs.

    Open the cover by lifting the handle.

    Install the pump holder then put the pump into the sponge.

    Put the activated carbon filter in the filter cartridge and close.

    Add water but do not exceed the max water mark.
  • 6
    Put the cover back on to form a seal and connect the power adaptor.

    Q: What are the benifits of the stainless steel water fountain compared to the plastic water fountain? A: In addition to looking nicer, stainless steel wont degrade over time from constant water flow, nor will it get moldy as quick as a plastic materials. Stainless steel is non-porous, which means any mold that does occur can simply be removed. It also is not affected by discoloration from being exposed to sunlight or air.
    Q: Can the water flow be adjusted? A: Yes. The water valve on the lid can be used to conveniently adjust the water flow.
    Q: Does the water run continuously or does it automatically shut off after a while? A: The water runs continuously. You have to unplug it to turn it off.
    Q: Is this 304 stainless steel? A: Yes, it is high quality 304 stainless steel.
    Q: Is this suitable for dogs? A: For a single small or medium sized dog, this fountain works great.
    Q: Is the flowing water or pump noisy? A: The pump is not noisy at all and the flow of water is very gentle as to not make any splashing noises whatsoever.
    Q: Are there any sharp edges? A: No, there are no sharp edges. It's safe for pets.
    Q: Am I required to use the filter if I already have pure water that will be used in the water fountain? A: One of the reasons you need the filter is because it keeps the the water free of debris and other contaminants, like pet fur and saliva.
    Q: How long does the water last? A: It depends on how much your pet drinks. In general, the water can last about 12 days with 1 cat, and 6 days with 2 cats.

If you are concerned about the power cord, purchase a cord conduit (a hard-plastic protector) at any hardware store to protect the power cord. 2.
